Optical Reading Facility

In accordance with the variety of demands and needs of the users, Computer Center provides optical reading facility for the optical forms submitted. Compliance with the procedure and standards specified below considerably eliminates the problems we experience during the process.

The specifications for how to create optical forms
and the standards for optical reading
  1. If the forms are printed beforehand, Computer Center shall test them to see if they are workable or not. If the test results prove negative on the viability of the forms, these forms should be revised and recreated.

  2. If the forms created have not been printed yet, please remember that the forms should comply with the optical form standards. The paper used must weigh 90-100 grams. The paper material should be hard. The color of the content on the paper should be pink or orange. Before printing all the forms, you should send the sample forms to CC where they will be tested to see if they are workable or not.

  3. Though the appropriateness of the forms may prove positive during the tests of CC, the same standards for the entire forms may not be attained during the printing process of all the forms by the department. Due to these improper standards of the forms received, Computer Center cannot be held liable for such incoveniences experienced during the optical reading. CC shall create an official report about those illegible forms and submit them to the department concerned. Those illegible forms shall be read or evaluated by that dapartment.

  4. CC cannot be held liable for the following cases that hinder the optical reading of some of the information on the forms;
    -if the people who are to fill in the forms have provided wrong or insufficient information,
    -if the forms are printed with errors on them
    -if the forms were cut inappropriately during their initial printing.

  5. CC is not responsible from the reading of non-standard forms that has not been tested. (if the paper weight in grams is below the standard, if the color is inappropriate, if the paper surface is glossy, then the paper is out of standard) CC shall create an official report about those illegible forms and submit them to the department concerned. Those illegible forms shall be read or evaluated by that dapartment itself.

  6. CC cannot be held liable for the incorrect reading of the exam results due to the error(s) made on the answer-key optical form. If the answer-key optical form is revised and corrected by the department demanding the service, CC shall start the optical reading of the new forms once again.
